Hi,

I have subscribed mrproject one year ago.
I wanted add optimization support to this application, but I gave up.
It was part of my master thesis.

I want to come back to the topic.

I have few questions:

Is there place for new features related with tasks scheduling?
Can you suggest what features?

How do you think, what is first priority in tasks scheduling in
Mrproject?

Do you know who is related with this topic now?

What should I do when I finished some scheduling plugin? What is the
way to use my plugins in mrproject next releases?

Hi, and welcome back :)

We have been thinking about breaking out the scheduling parts that are
used now and make them pluggable in some way, to allow for different
algorithms to be used easily. The major feature missing right now is
probably some kind of optimization and resource levelling.

This list is a prety good place to discuss the topic.

If it's a completely different scheduling algorithm, I think making the
scheduling be some kind of plugin could be a good idea. Or the code
could be used together with the current one, if it's just adding some
missing feature. I guess it depends on exactly you want to do.

I hope I could answer your questions, don't hesitate to ask again if not.

Richard
